## Tour Detail

DAY 1: ŞANLIURFA-GÖBEKLİTEPE
Together with our guide who awaits us at the airport, we turn our direction to Göbeklitepe. Göbeklitepe, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in human history, dating back 12,000 years, deeply shaking the accepted truths of recorded history and presumed to be the first pilgrimage center, is located in the Mesopotamian region and is among the oldest known temples based on studies conducted to date. Göbeklitepe offers important data on religious beliefs in hunter-gatherer societies. As we examine it architecturally and then socio-economically, Göbeklitepe provides information on how people of that period could create a sacred space to experience their unconventional beliefs, while also enlightening us about their religion, religious symbols, technology and sciences.
After completing our visit to Göbeklitepe, we turn our direction back to the city center. We visit and tour HALİL-ÜR RAHMAN MOSQUE – AYN ZELİHA (BALIKLI GÖL) – RIZVANİYE MOSQUE and the cave where Prophet Abraham was born, Sipahi Bazaar, Kazzaz Bazaar, Hacı Kamil Khan, Hüseyiniye Market, Naccar Bazaar, the Historical Customs Khan, Ulucami and the Museum of Kitchen. Afterwards we visit the Archaeology Museum and the Mosaic Museum. Then we drop you off at your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2: MARDİN-DARA
After breakfast from the hotel, we turn our direction to the museum city of Mardin. Our first stop here is Mor Behram Church of the Forty Martyrs. After the information we receive from the church attendant, we walk through the narrow streets of Mardin, seeing and photographing the Mardin Museum, Latifiye Mosque and Ulu Mosque, one of the most important structures in the region. Then we see the PTT building, which has hosted many series and films, and after visiting Şehidiye Mosque and Madrasa, we pass through the Abbara, one of Mardin's symbols, board our vehicle and reach Kasımiye Madrasa. In this extraordinary architecture, which provided education at university level during the Seljuk period, we learn about the iwan philosophy of Southeastern culture. After completing our tours, we change our route to Deyrulzafaran Monastery, which was the center of the Syriac people in the world until 1932. After the information we gather about the monastery, we head to Dara, called the Ephesus of Mesopotamia. In this ancient city on the Silk Road, we examine the remains of the world's first water dam, fire towers built for the worship of Ahura Mazda, the god of the Achaemenids in ancient times, the castle (Daras Anastasiupolis), church, bridge, water canals, cisterns, arasta, rock tombs and remains of civil residential buildings. Our interactions with local people and their competitions to offer us the subtleties of Mesopotamian hospitality will once again prove how strong tolerance and love are in the region. Then we drop you off at the airport and conclude our tour.
