Our "Urfa Sıra Gecesi" tour, prepared for those who want to experience the thousands of years of culture, folk songs, and the tradition of sharing reflected on the table in Şanlıurfa, invites you to an unforgettable night in the heart of the city. In this special experience, you will be treated not as a guest but as a true host; you will witness a real Urfa evening where friendship, conversation, and music intertwine.
The night begins with your pick-up from your hotel and arrival at an authentically decorated traditional Urfa mansion. As you step through the door, the ambiance filled with copper engravings, carpets, floor cushions, and benches takes you back in time. Guests sit in a semicircle around the floor cushions, and the intimate atmosphere of the sıra gecesi is felt from the very first moments.
Tables are adorned with the unique flavors of Urfa cuisine. You will watch live as the master kneads the raw meatballs and smell the scent of isot while listening to the story behind this delicacy. You will be served spicy raw meatballs, hot appetizer dips, eggplant and pepper mezes, flatbread, regional dishes cooked over embers, and delicious şıllık dessert alongside mırra coffee. Throughout the service, the masters will share engaging conversations about Urfa’s hospitality culture, the origin and significance of the sıra gecesi.
As the night progresses, Urfa’s famous sıra gecesi team takes the stage. With the sounds of the bağlama, ud, and rhythm instruments mixing in, beloved folk songs such as "Sarı Gelin," "Urfalıyam Ezelden," and "Cane" are sung in unison. Guests can join in the singing or even participate in the energetic halay dances, becoming a part of this vibrant atmosphere. The witty stories and folk poems told by the masters add a special joy to the night.
Guests who wish can wear traditional costumes for photos, make a short attempt at singing a folk song with the instruments, or join in the raw meatball kneading ritual to add color to the fun. Throughout the program, you will both entertain yourself and closely feel Urfa’s cultural fabric, musical heritage, and philosophy of sharing.
This unforgettable night lasts approximately 3-4 hours, ending with the warm serving of mırra and final songs. Afterward, our guests are taken back to their hotels. The "Urfa Sıra Gecesi" tour is not just an entertainment program; it is a unique cultural journey that touches the spirit of Urfa with its songs, tables, and conversations.

Important information
Urfa Sıra Gecesi is a cultural night event that takes place with traditional Urfa music, folk songs, and conversations. It is a gathering rooted in a rich tradition, taking place in a friendly atmosphere, where music and conversation come together. Participants have the opportunity to enjoy and closely experience the cultural heritage of the region, accompanied by folk songs, long airs, and tunes unique to the sıra gecesi, performed by local artists.
The event usually starts in the evening, lasts a few hours, and is mostly held indoors with a seating arrangement of cushions: The program begins in the evening and progresses into the night, usually lasting 2–3 hours or longer. The venues are typically covered and traditionally decorated areas with floor seating and cushions, allowing guests to spend time in a warm and friendly environment.
The program often includes the preparation of çiğ köfte, local delicacies (çğ köfte, lahmacun, içli köfte, desserts, and beverages), and opportunities for participants to join in: One of the important elements of the night is the preparation of çiğ köfte before the guests, presented in a ritualistic manner. In addition to çiğ köfte, lahmacun, içli köfte, regional desserts, and beverages served during the night, guests can join in the songs, keep the rhythm, or actively participate in dance tunes.
For clothing, it is recommended to wear comfortable, moveable, and preferably modest attire; elegant or formal clothing is not necessary: Since the event takes place in a warm and intimate setting, it is important for guests to wear outfits that allow them to move freely and not have difficulty getting up and sitting down. Simple, modest, and comfortable clothes are more suitable for both the spirit of the venue and the traditional nature of the event than overly extravagant or formal evening attire.
Photo and video recording is generally allowed, but guests must adhere to the organizer's rules to avoid disturbing the performing artists and other guests: Participants can immortalize this cultural experience through photos and videos; however, they should avoid disruptive behaviors such as using flash, continuous shooting, or approaching the stage too closely. Following the rules set by the organization is important to show respect for the artists' performances and not disturb the enjoyment of other participants.
It is essential to clarify and confirm what is included in the tour fee (transportation, food and beverages, guidance, extra expenses) at the time of reservation: Knowing in advance what services are included in the tour fee helps prevent any unexpected additional costs or misunderstandings later on. Obtaining detailed information about transportation, refreshments, guidance services, show fees, and possible extra expenses, and confirming this in writing ensures a safer and smoother experience.
