The Sarajevo Tour, which you can easily join without a visa, invites you to an unforgettable journey in the heart of the Balkans. In this city where Ottoman heritage intertwines with Central European fabric, you will encounter a different story at every corner and trace the footprints of history step by step. You will have the opportunity to deeply explore Sarajevo with comfortable transportation, central accommodation, and the guidance of a professional.
Our tour begins in the Başçarşı area, which has become the symbol of the city. While walking on the cobblestone narrow streets, you will hear the sounds of the call to prayer and church bells blending with the aroma of coffee and freshly baked pastries. In this area surrounded by Ottoman fountains, historic inns, and mosques, you can visit unique handicraft shops and taste traditional Bosnian coffee. Your guide will provide a different perspective on the city by narrating the transition between empires, the traces of war, and the story of the city's rebirth.
Another significant stop on the Sarajevo Tour will be the places that witnessed some of the most dramatic scenes of recent history. You will visit the Tunnel Museum, which was a lifeline for the city under siege, and feel the resistance and solidarity of the Bosnian people there. At the Latin Bridge, you will hear from your guide about the assassination that sparked World War I, as you see the spot that changed the course of European history. The cemeteries and buildings bearing scars of war on the hills overlooking the city will remind you once again of the value of peace.
In our program that intertwines with nature, you will explore the lush surroundings of Sarajevo. In the Vrelo Bosne area, where the Bosna River originates, you can enjoy pleasant walks under shady trees and take short rides in horse-drawn carriages. On the same day, you will have the chance to view the city's different faces by visiting panoramic viewpoints with mountain vistas.

Important information
Travel to Turkey is visa-free for Turkish Republic citizens; you must have a valid and undamaged passport or the new type of T.C. identity card: This tour provides a significant convenience in terms of both time and cost since Turkish Republic citizens do not require a visa to travel to Sarajevo. However, to avoid any issues upon entry, your passport or new identity card must have sufficient validity and be in good physical condition, legible and undamaged.
The tour program generally includes round-trip airfare, airport-hotel transfers, accommodation, and some city tours; extra tours and personal expenses may not be included in the price: Typically, the tour price includes basic transportation, accommodation at a designated hotel, and some panoramic or walking tours with a guide. However, museum entries, specially arranged extra tours, lunch and dinner, personal shopping, and similar expenses are usually not included in the package, so it is advisable to plan an additional budget for these.
Accommodation in Sarajevo is generally offered in hotels close to the city center on a bed-and-breakfast basis; dinners are often planned as extra or free time: Staying in centrally located hotels allows for easy access to important places in the city, especially Baščaršija, either by walking or by short transportation. Breakfast is provided at the hotel as part of the bed-and-breakfast concept, while for dinner you can either explore the recommended restaurants by the guide or enjoy local delicacies at your own discretion during your free time.
It is recommended to bring season-appropriate comfortable walking shoes, a raincoat/umbrella, and your personal medications; expect a lot of walking during city tours: As Sarajevo tour programs typically involve exploring historical streets, bridges, and squares on foot, it is essential to wear shoes that are comfortable, non-slip, and won’t cause discomfort. Bringing a lightweight raincoat or an umbrella against sudden weather changes, as well as any medications you regularly use, can help prevent potential mishaps in terms of health and comfort.
The currency used during the tour will be the Bosnian Convertible Mark (BAM), but Euro is also accepted in many places; it is advisable to have some cash on hand for small expenses: While the majority of shops, restaurants, and cafes in Sarajevo accept the local currency BAM, there are often opportunities to pay in Euro in tourist areas. However, to avoid exchange rate issues and to have the right change for small purchases or tips, it is beneficial to have some local currency and small bills with you.
