Tour Detail
We depart from the designated gathering point to Diyarbakır. Our first stop in Diyarbakır is the historic Hasan Paşa Han, followed by a visit to Diyarbakır Ulu Mosque, which is considered the 5th Harem-i Şerif of the Islamic world. Inside the city walls, we visit or at least take a look at the houses of Ziya Gökalp and Ahmet Arif and Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, which are among the historic houses of Diyarbakır. We visit the Hz. Süleyman Mosque, where Halit bin Velid's son is buried and where 27 companions are found, and we view the famous Diyarbakır Prison, which is used as a museum, from its garden without going inside. After seeing the famous ten-arched bridge and the Hevsel Gardens along the historic walls, the Tigris River welcomes us. We visit the historic Diyarbakır Walls, considered the longest city walls in the world after the Great Wall of China, which Halit bin Walid conquered after a difficult siege of 8 months. We conclude our tour after enjoying the view of the Tigris River, the Keçi Burcu, the Gazi Köşkü, the Hevsel Gardens and the ten-arched bridge.
