DAY 1: ADIYAMAN:
Together with our guide waiting for us at the airport, we begin getting to know Adıyaman. Then we set off by minibus to Kâhta for a magnificent sunset. After visiting the Karakuş Tumulus, built by Antiochus I for his mother Isias, we slowly make our way toward the Cendere Bridge built by the Romans. Then, after going up to the entrance of Kâhta Castle and taking photographs, we visit Arsemia, the summer capital of the Kingdom of Commagene, and then ascend to Nemrut. We see the tumulus and the statues of the gods built by the young and powerful King Antiochus of the Commagene Kingdom so that he could watch the sun rise at his feet and set again, and we receive information from our guide. You will never forget the sunset in this enchanting place where the sun sets most beautifully in the world. Afterwards, we move to our hotel in Urfa for accommodation.
DAY 2: URFA
DAY 2: URFA-GÖBEKLİTEPE
After breakfast at the hotel, we turn our direction to Göbeklitepe. Göbeklitepe, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in human history, dating back 12,000 years, profoundly shaking the accepted facts of recorded history and believed to be the first pilgrimage center, is located in the Mesopotamian region and is one of the oldest known temples resulting from studies conducted to date. Göbeklitepe provides important data on religious belief in hunter-gatherer societies. Examining it architecturally and then socio-economically, Göbeklitepe provides information on how a sacred space could be created to experience the belief systems of the people of that period, which defy convention, and it enlightens us about their religion, religious symbols, technology and sciences.
After completing our visit to Göbeklitepe, we turn our direction back to the center. We visit and tour the HALİL-ÜR RAHMAN MOSQUE – AYN ZELİHA (FISH POND) – RIZVANİYE MOSQUE and the cave where Prophet Abraham was born, Sipahi Bazaar, Kazzaz Bazaar, Hacı Kamil Khan, Hüseyiniye Market, Naccar Bazaar, Historical Customs Khan, Ulucami and the Kitchen Museum, then we visit the archaeology museum and the mosaic museum. Afterwards, we drop you off at the airport and conclude our tour.
