1st DAY: ADIYAMAN:
Together with our guide who awaits us at the airport, we begin getting to know Adıyaman. Then we set off by minibus to Kâhta for a magnificent sunset. After visiting the Karakuş Tumulus, which Antiochus I had built for his mother Isias, we gradually make our way toward the Cendere Bridge built by the Romans. Then, after walking up to the entrance of Kâhta Castle and taking photographs, we visit Arsemia, the summer capital of the Commagene Kingdom, and then climb to Nemrut. We see the tumulus and the statues of the gods that the young and powerful King Antiochus of the Commagene Kingdom had built so that he could see the sun rise between its feet and set again, and we receive information from our guide. You will never forget the sunset at this magical place, where the sun sets most beautifully in the world. Afterwards, we move to our hotel in Urfa for accommodation.
2nd DAY: URFA
1st DAY: URFA-GÖBEKLİTEPE
After breakfast at the hotel, we turn our direction to Göbeklitepe. Göbeklitepe, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in human history, dating back 12,000 years, deeply shaking the accepted facts of recorded history, and believed to be the first pilgrimage center, is located in the Mesopotamian region and is one of the oldest known temples resulting from studies conducted to date. Göbeklitepe provides significant data on religious belief among hunter-gatherer societies. Addressing it architecturally and then socio-economically, Göbeklitepe provides information about how the people of that period could create a sacred space in order to live their beliefs, which were paradigm-breaking in nature, and it enlightens us about their religion, religious symbols, technology and sciences.
After completing our visit to Göbeklitepe, we turn our direction back to the center. We visit and tour the HALİL-ÜR RAHMAN MOSQUE – AYN ZELİHA (FISH LAKE) – RIZVANİYE MOSQUE and the cave where Prophet Abraham was born, Sipahi Market, Kazzaz Market, Hacı Kamil Inn, Hüseyiniye Bazaar, Naccar Market, Historic Customs Inn, Ulu Mosque and the Kitchen Museum, then visit the archaeology museum and the mosaic museum. Afterwards, we drop you off at the airport and conclude our tour.
